Making Daisuke Doll. Festival in Kashima, Ibaraki,Japan

The "Hachigata Matsuri" was held for two days at the Hachigata Community Center in Hachigatadai 3-chome, Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where the residents of the Hachigata Elementary School District in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture gathered. The festival will be held for the 23rd time this year. At the venue on the first day, residents performed erhu performances, karaoke, and choral singing. A bazaar by the Hachigata District Welfare Council (Hachifukukai), and sales of vegetables and potted seedlings from the City Silver Human Resource Center were also held. In the hall, paintings drawn by the same elementary school students and handicrafts made by residents are displayed. Also, in the "Daisuke doll making", under the guidance of the staff of the center, participants were seen enthusiastically making dolls by weaving straw. On the second day, science crafts such as making an air gun and a pressed flower class were held.
