Mito Senba Lake Fireworks for the first time in 3 years in Ibaraki Prefecture,Japan
The Mito Komon Festival fireworks display (Mito Kairakuen Fireworks Display) was held on the night of the 22nd at Lake Senba in the city for the first time in three years. It was canceled due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. A large number of spectators enjoyed the gorgeous large flowers of about 5,000 that colored the autumn night sky.
At the event, powerful No. 10 balls and creative character fireworks were set off one after another, and in the finale, an ultra-wide, extra-large music starmine decorated the night sky in time with the festival's image song, "Iza Mito Komon Matsuri!"
Paid spectator seats were newly set up in a part of the venue. Hiroyuki Fujieda, 38, who looked up at the night sky with his three family members in the paid bleachers, said with a smile, "I couldn't hold an event due to the coronavirus pandemic, so I reserved a seat out of respect for my family. I'm glad I was able to relax and watch." .
The main festival of the festival is scheduled to be held on November 5th, around the Ibaraki Prefecture Sannomaru Government Office Square in Sannomaru, Ibaraki Prefecture.
