At the Ibaraki Flower Park in Shimoaoyanagi, Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where about 800 varieties of autumn roses are in full bloom, the event "Moon Light Garden 2022" will make the flowers stand out with 3,500 lights so that you can enjoy the roses at night. is open.

The lights are placed in an area of ​​about 10,000 square meters in front of the entrance of about 12 hectares in the park. On the central rose terrace (approximately 6,000 square meters), a mechanism was prepared that allows visitors to participate in the light production themselves. A QR code, distributed with purchases made in the park, can be held up to a sensor in the park to trigger ripples of light.

According to the park, the idea of ​​viewing the roses at night was based on comments received from visitors last season. Noboru Nagata, 40, the director of the park, said, ``One light illuminates each flower.

The period is until November 11th. The lights are on from 5:00 pm until the park closes at 8:30 (admission is 30 minutes before closing).
