Prior to the start of the 35th Satomi Scarecrow Festival on the 29th, which colors the autumn in the Satomi district of Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the screening of hand-made scarecrows was held on the 27th at the Satomi Fureaikan event plaza (Onaka-cho, Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture). there was a meeting Tadahisa Komuro, chairman of the executive committee for the "Satomi Autumn Taste Festival", said, "We received works full of passion and playfulness."

A total of 62 scarecrows, 52 from the general category and 10 from the student category, were submitted from inside and outside the city. Unique masterpieces based on various motifs, such as works that express everyday life, anime characters, animals, and popular people, were lined up.

During the period, visitors can vote for their favorite scarecrow, and there will also be a general vote to win a special product by lottery. On the 29th and 30th, and on November 5th and 6th, the “Taste Festival” will be held, including special product sales and stage events. The exhibition period is until November 26th.
